This is currently the highest security level certification for cloud services approved by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asd.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Australian Signals Directorate<\/a> (ASD) on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asd.gov.au\/infosec\/irap\/certified_clouds.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Certified Cloud Services List<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/glossary\/ccsl\/\">CCSL<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The announcement means Macquarie Government\u2019s GovZone (Secure Cloud) service can host government data classified up to the Protected level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe security of <a href=\"https:\/\/data.gov.au\/dataset\/australian-government-ict-trends-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Government ICT<\/a> systems managing citizen\u2019s data has never been under greater scrutiny as risks increase such as the recent ransomware attack, and as community awareness grows,\u201d Macquarie Government managing director Aidan Tudehope said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the same time, the Federal Government is determined to lift the performance of Government by driving digital transformation, a cornerstone of which is moving to modern, flexible models of processing, moving and storing information,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMacquarie has invested hugely in specialised infrastructure in our highly secure <a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/canberra-colocation\/canberra-data-centre\/\">data centres<\/a> in Canberra and Sydney, and in building a team of over 100 security cleared staff, all because we believe security is the foundation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dta.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Government digital transformation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe need for \u201cbaked in\u201d security was made clear in the report on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/radio\/programs\/am\/reports-highlight-failures-of-ecensus-2016\/8056730\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eCensus failure<\/a>, which recommended the certification of <strong>protected cloud services<\/strong> should be hastened to help Government agencies move to safer information storage and management environments,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an Australian business continuing to invest in Canberra, we are proud to be the first scale <a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/secure-cloud\/protected-cloud\/\">cloud services<\/a> providers to achieve ASD Protected status.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The achievement follows Macquarie Government becoming the first <a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/\">Australian cloud provider<\/a> to be added to the <em>Australian Signals Directorate<\/em>\u2019s Certified Cloud Services List (CCSL) when it was first announced in May 2015, for services deemed suitable to host data up the <a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/secure-cloud\/unclassified-dlm-cloud\/\">Unclassified-DLM<\/a> security level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For further information please contact:<\/strong><br \/>\n0438121114<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>About Macquarie Government<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a part of ASX listed Macquarie Technology Group (ASX: MAQ), <a>Macquarie Government<\/a> is Australian specialist in <a>cyber security<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/macquariegovernment.com\/secure-cloud\/\">secure cloud<\/a> and data centres solutions.
